DeCordova, a Texas land agent, writes to a New York merchant, Charles Richards, concerning land prices, fees, and future possibilities of Texas property. He advises Richards to keep his land located in the Milam district between 31 ̊and 33 ̊as the proposed Pacific Railroad scheduled to run near 32 ̊will inevitably increase the value of Richards's lands.
